I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT 41235)
I work with individual adults and couples. I have a gentle, yet clear, style which helps to create a safe, non-judgmental space in which you can explore and heal the parts of your life that cause you pain, as well as celebrate the parts where you experience growth and a sense
of possibility.
Through our work you will begin to have a clearer sense of the priorities in your life. You will gain self-awareness that will improve communication and the quality of your relationships.
I will work with you to identify and understand the patterns in your life that are no longer serving you, and to create healthier patterns. I work with Mindfulness principles as a way to help you gain perspective, and help you disengage from habitual patterns of suffering. You will begin to find a more compassionate tone in the messages which you give yourself.
I have worked with many adult children of alcoholics, and have an understanding of some of the challenges that may come from such an upbringing.
I have a special interest in, and experience with, working with people from other cultures, of mixed cultural backgrounds, or in cross cultural relationships.
I believe strongly in the healing power of creative expression, as well as the importance of such basic self-care as good nutrition, movement, regular sleep, time in nature, and a balance of social interaction with solitude.
I am inspired by seeing my clients make changes in their lives that lead to feelings of more lightness, freedom, and acceptance of themselves and others!
